Strategic Talent Management & HR Professional to Establish Leading Company Culture at Award-Winning Software Business
MINNEAPOLIS – April 26, 2016 – Field Nation, the leading marketplace platform for contingent and on-demand workforce management, today named Teri Calderon to the newly created role of executive vice president of human resources. Calderon will oversee the strategic talent management solutions and employee development and training programs at the leading organization for businesses and freelancers looking to find and complete their work online.
“I am looking forward to helping Field Nation establish itself as one of the best places to work in the country,” said Calderon. “The company has established itself as an award-winning and industry-leading platform on both a local and national scale, and I am excited to build up a company culture that reflects our commitment to excellence. Moving forward, our focus will be on identifying and engaging some of the top business minds in the industry, but also enhancing the talent we already have with innovative programs and initiatives.”
Calderon most recently served as the senior vice president of human resources at Attero Human Capital Group, where she was responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution of the talent management, workforce planning, and employee training and development programs. During her tenure, Calderon established an innovative emerging leadership program, which resulted in higher employee engagement and reduced total company turnover by over 30%. Attero was recognized as one of the best workplaces in 2014 by the Minneapolis, St. Paul Business Journal, and in 2015 by the Star Tribune. Prior to Attero, Calderon served Pro Staff as human resources manager, Nextel Communications as human resource generalist, and Coram Healthcare as human resources representative.
In the last two years, Field Nation has grown its internal employee headcount from 50-150 employees, and Calderon will lead the company’s talent acquisition, employee retention, organizational design, performance management, compensation planning, and management initiatives. In addition to establishing an award-winning company culture that mirrors the award-winning business strategy set forth by CEO, Mynul Khan, Calderon will collaborate with organizational leaders on talent management strategies to help exceed company financial goals.
“Teri’s background perfectly suits our need to attract and develop top talent at Field Nation,” said Mynul Khan, Field Nation CEO. “Her 20 years of human resources and staffing expertise will be invaluable as we continue our rapid growth on the local and national level, and will help us establish an award-winning company culture that continues to drive innovation and break down the barriers to work.”
Calderon earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, and actively serves on the Metropolitan State University Board of Trustees – St. Paul, Minn.
