Field Nation Introduces a New Vacation Policy That Helps Offset Vacation Costs
MINNEAPOLIS – May 24 2016 – Field Nation today announced a benefit enhancement that allows Field Nation employees to take as much paid time off as they need. The new flexible time off policy aims to improve Field Nation employee wellness and morale as a way to foster creativity and productivity. In conjunction with this announcement, Field Nation rolled out a separate paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave benefit.
As the leading marketplace platform for contingent and on-demand workforce management, Field Nation aims to invest in employees’ personal lives through this innovative policy. “We have a highly engaged workforce with employees who are relentless in their execution to push the boundaries for our progress. We want to reward that behavior by not micromanaging their time off,” said Teri Calderon, executive vice president of human resources at Field Nation. “Our policy encourages employees to return to work feeling more motivated and invigorated.”
A recent survey by Field Nation and Future Workplace, an executive development firm, found that paid vacation days are of the top benefits targeted for elimination due to macro trends related to the Affordable Care Act. “Paid time off policies are costly so unsurprisingly, one of the big criticisms of unlimited vacation time is the cost-savings to the organization,” said Calderon. “To show our employees that we are committed to their time off, we will offer a vacation bonus to help offset vacation costs to those employees who have worked for us a year or more. We want to invest in Field Nation employees who can manage their time and still get work done.”
Field Nation is headquartered in Minneapolis and has offices in Atlanta and Bangladesh. The company has 150 employees.
