Solutions Engineer

Why is this role important to Field Nation?
The Solutions Engineer is a vital member of our sales team and will work closely with others to convert prospects to customers, gather technical requirements from customers, and deliver platform training to internal and external teams. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment where new ideas are encouraged and collaboration is a must. This position is located in Minneapolis, MN and will report to the CRO.
What you’ll do: 
  • Deliver pre-sales customer technical presentations and product demos.
  • Participate in discovery calls with other members of our Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • Provide expert level pre-sales support as needed and respond to technical questions from customers.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills to ensure accurate reporting is in place.
  • Deliver product training to customers and internal teams.
  • Communicate and advocate for customers’ technical needs to internal Field Nation teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on all product roadmaps and product functions and features.
  • Assist customers with integration issues, providing local technical and logistical support to ensure successful adoption of Field Nation’s solution by customers.
What you’ll need:
  • Experience in customer service, sales, sales/pre-sales engineering or related field
  • A strong technical background and excellent customer service/ sales skills
  • Experience in Salesforce and/or other CRM platforms preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel
  • Strong business acumen
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth technical sales environment
  • Highly-motivated, self-directed, goal oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize appropriately
  • 4 year college degree – BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
