The tab is being changed to address the challenges identified by Field Nation customers during over 100 interviews, specifically the difficulty in finding and vetting the best providers for work orders. The current system made it hard to consider different factors when choosing providers, and the process of vetting was time-consuming due to the need to manually search through provider profiles. The new design streamlines this process, bringing the most important information front and center, reducing the number of clicks required to find key vetting criteria, and enabling easier comparison among providers.
The new page was made available to all users on June 25th. For a limited amount of time, you will have the option to toggle between the original experience and the new page. It’s recommended to start using the new experience as soon as possible. For more specific information on when the old Provider Match experience will be discontinued, please check your email for updates.

Providers are ranked based on the “Best Match” ranking, which takes into account several factors:
– Relevant work experience
– Recent reliability trends
– Your company’s past experience with the provider
– Other factors such as distance from the site, log-in recency, and background check recency
This ranking system is designed to help you quickly identify the most suitable providers for your work order.Yes, the factors that make up the default ranking rule today are still included in the new page’s ranking criteria. On the Providers Tab, you can see a visual indication of a provider’s fit for your project based on the improved ranking algorithm. By hovering your mouse over a provider’s card, you’ll see a quick visualization that highlights key selection criteria, making it easier to identify the strongest candidates and spot any potential areas of concern.
