State, county, or city mask mandates: Although much of the country is reopening, some areas still have restrictions in place. If a city, state, or county has a mask mandate in place, or if the work order requests that a mask be worn and the provider arrives on-site and fails to wear a mask, the work order can be canceled, and the buyer can dispute the fee.
Site mask mandates: Please note that individual businesses may be enforcing mask mandates. Companies are asked to verify and include the mask requirement in the scope of work if the site requires a mask, but there is no mandate in place. Here’s a resource to understand where the CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors, and when it is optional for vaccinated individuals.
Mask requirements in areas that do not have a current mask mandate should be listed in the scope of work and on the list of required equipment. If the mask requirement is included in the scope and the provider arrives on-site and fails to wear a mask, the buyer can cancel the work order and dispute the fee.
On-site vaccination requirements: For work orders that require contractors to be vaccinated, please state that requirement in the scope of work within the work order. The following statement is advised: “By accepting this work order, you confirm that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and can provide proof of immunization upon request.”
Field Nation now allows providers to indicate whether they are willing to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 on-site. Buyers can filter for providers who have this criteria, and view it in providers’ profiles in the “COVID-19 Vaccine Proof” section. Even if a provider is willing to provide proof of vaccination on-site, this must be listed in the scope of work.
Field Nation will not verify whether a provider is vaccinated, and will only indicate which providers are willing to show proof of vaccination.
If a provider indicates they are willing to show proof of vaccination and then does not do so when it is required in the work order, the buyer can cancel the work order and dispute the fee. The provider may also receive a quality event.
Negative COVID-19 test results: For companies who require a negative COVID-19 result, we recommend including the requirement in the scope of work within the work order. The work order should include the testing requirement, whether it can be substituted for a vaccination, and any timing requirements.
Companies can request that the provider show a negative COVID-19 test result upon arrival at the site. If a provider indicates they are willing to show a negative test result and then fails to do so, the buyer can cancel the work order and dispute the fee so long as the requirement was listed in the work order.
Privacy: Due to healthcare and privacy regulations, Field Nation does not permit, accept, store or review any health-related documents, including COVID-19 vaccination documentation or COVID-19 test results. Buyers can view proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results in person or via a video call.
