In-app messaging

Field Nation makes it simple for technicians to communicate with buyers directly within the work order via work order messages. No more long email threads or text messages that get lost – making it easy to stay organized and on top of your active, in-progress jobs.

Counter offers

As an independent technician on the Field Nation marketplace, you have the ability to counter offer on a published work order’s pay, schedule, or additional charges. When you select the type of counter offer you’d like to submit, you also have the ability to provide an explanation for the counter offer. The buyer can choose to accept or decline your request. 

Task management

Tasks are a work order component that allow buyers to outline key steps of the job that must be completed by the assigned provider before the work can be marked as ‘done’. Tasks can be created for various activities, such as checking in and out of the work order, entering close-out notes, capturing deliverables, and more. It’s an easy way for you to stay organized on site and deliver on the full scope of work.

Schedule management

The Field Nation platform includes a variety of tools to help you manage your schedule of work orders on the marketplace. When setting your start time on a work order you’re requesting, for example, you’ll see a calendar view that shows any existing work order assignments.

 

If the system finds a scheduling conflict, you’ll see a prompt to request a schedule change. You can also see a calendar view of your assigned work order at any time in the ‘Schedule’ section of the mobile app.
