2019 was a year of growth and incredible milestones at Field Nation. More than 1 million work orders were completed through the platform for the first time ever. 5,948 technicians completed their first work order and 698 clients got work done through Field Nation for the first time in 2019. Work orders were completed in 24,001 US zip codes and 5,901 Canadian postal codes– in fact, there was a 32% increase in the number of work orders completed in Canada from 2018 to 2019.
Field Nation also saw some shifts in the types of work on the platform. Pro A/V and digital signage work orders increased by 92%. The most popular type of work was Point of Sale, with 190,059 work orders completed. This surpassed networking, the top type of work in 2018, which had 161,949 work orders completed in 2019. A new type of work was also introduced: electrical. 2,598 work orders were completed by a licensed electrician.
The coming decade is sure to bring many more exciting features and milestones to the Field Nation platform. We thank all of our valued users and partners for making the past decade incredible.

A note about our model: Field Nation is a software company and labor marketplace that enables companies to connect with thousands of independent contractors with skills in a variety of work types. Companies are responsible for defining and posting the work, negotiating and engaging the technician, and reviewing and approving each work order. Independent contractors are responsible for entering and updating their platform profiles to advertise their skills, experience, and preferences, as well as choosing when and how they want to work and manage their business.
